Nevada's Wild Mustangs

I've been working on a commission, so haven't been blogging much because I need to get this finished. Here's a peek at the unfinished piece - I can write more about it when it is completed - It is a gift for a person that is retiring & don't want to chance that they'll visit my blog thus spoiling the surprise :)

I'm working from a photo that was provided and the surface is, well, "different" - which was also provided. Each one of these horses is only about 2-1/4 in length, so it has been a real challenge!

More to come~

Gorgeous. The movement is wonderful. You caught the "wild" spirit of these magnificent animals.

Hi Sheila, thanks so much!

Hi Gwen, they are amazing to see in person - Last year I saw them running across the ridge of a hill at daybreak and it was truly breathtaking!

This is going to be beautiful when it is finished, it already is though.
I am sure that the recipient of the painting will love it.

Thank you Diana- I'm real close to completion:O)
Nice job, Teresa. I agree; commissions can be worrisome and downright tough sometimes. I'm betting your clients will be pleased!
